POSTPARTUM PLANNING

I have been deeply dedicated to birthwork in all its multifacets for over eight years, but with the co-birthing of my book Nourishing Those Who Nurture, postpartum really took ahold of my heart and never let go since.

After experiencing my own divine, deeply supported postpartum after the birth of my daughter, I came into an even deeper understanding and dedication to the vast and profound space that is postpartum. After experiencing a truly magical postpartum, my passion kicked into another gear to share and support other women to have an experience like mine, too.

Postpartum is a Latin term meaning ‘after childbirth’. Postpartum recovery can range from a few days to a few weeks, months or years depending on the birth itself, and the integration of becoming a mother. Postpartum is the least supported aspect of birth at present, as most of the focus is currently on fertility, conception, pregnancy, and of course, labour and birth itself.

Because of the huge gap in deeply understanding the incredibly vulnerable time that is postpartum, I feel incredibly passionate about assisting other women to take their sacred window seriously, to prepare well and to call in their village prior to entering into this time.

After my training with Anna Watts in postpartum support and then deepening my immersion with the wise Naomi Jansson in the Yin Sanctuary, I have created a wonderful postpartum package that can be accessed in person or online. I help my clients put together a comprehensive game plan for postpartum, ask the hard questions about how they plan to support themselves, break down belief systems, help them identify and gather the village, along with a series of links, recipes and websites to access all nutritional aids and supports for their sacred window.
